Vietnamese people in the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Thailand and Japan have organized various activities to celebrate the 125th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19th).

The Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Korea on May 19th organized a meeting to mark the President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday.

Speaking at the event, Minister of the Vietnamese Embassy to the Republic of Korea Nguyen Manh Dong reviewed the life and cause of President Ho Chi Minh as well as heritages he left for the Party, people and country and implementation of ideology, morality of the great leader in the new revolutionary period.

He also called upon staff of the Embassy to study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example as well as effectively contribute to further developing the multi-faced relations between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea.

On the same day, the Vietnamese Embassy and overseas Vietnamese in Singapore offered flowers to the statue of President Ho Chi Minh at the Asian Civilizations Museum.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore Nguyen Tien Minh affirmed the pride and gratitude to Uncle Ho, the father of the people of Vietnam as well as his revolutionary moral example. He also affirmed that the ideology of Uncle Ho has always been a torch to enlighten the way for people of Vietnam.

Also, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, Vietnam-Lao Friendship Association, Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association, Lao-Vietnam Friendship Association and Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Association offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam-Thailand friendship village and President Ho Chi Minh memorial site in Na Chooc hamlet, Nong Nhat commune, Muong district, Nakhon Phanom province, Thailand.

During the trip to save the country, in late 1928, President Ho Chi Minh did revolutionary activities in Na Chooc hamlet. With the simple and harmonious life, Uncle Ho was esteemed by overseas Vietnamese and local people there.

He taught them how to cultivate, produce. He also taught overseas Vietnamese about tradition and how to help the revolution as well as look towards the homeland.

In recognition of his great contributions, the Vietnam-Thailand friendship village and President Ho Chi Minh memorial site have been built in Na Chooc hamlet to preserve memories about Uncle Ho. In addition, it is as a bridge of Vietnam-Thailand friendship.

Previously on May 16th, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka (Japan) organized a meeting to mark the 125th birthday of Uncle Ho.

At the event, the delegates offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh as well as shared memories and spiritual feelings about Uncle Ho.

The Consulate General of Vietnam also presented documentary films about life, cause and great achievements of President Ho Chi Minh./.
