Vietnamese people in Germany significantly contribute to foster bilateral partnership
On January 1st, Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Doan Xuan Hung visited and wished Happy New Year to associations of Vietnamese people in Germany on the occasion of New Year 2016.
At Pho Da Pagoda in Berlin, Ambassador Doan Xuan Hung offered incense and prayed for peace and safety for the country and people.
At the meetings, Ambassador Doan Xuan Hung recalled the official visit of State President Truong Tan Sang to Germany, the first visit of the Vietnamese State President to Germany over the past 40 years since the two countries established diplomatic relations.
He also noted that at all meetings of Vietnamese State President Truong Tan Sang with the President, Chancellor, Foreign Minister and other officials of Germany, the German side had expressed familiar and friendly sentiment with the country and people of Vietnam and had been glad for achievements the people of Vietnam have gained.
The German side also appreciated Vietnam, which is one of the leading countries in economic and trade liberalization, which will open up tremendous opportunities for cooperation among other countries and Vietnam.
Germany also praised the contributions of the overseas Vietnamese community to the prosperity of the country, with strong integration into the local society, abiding by the local law, work hard and pay due attention to education and training of young generations to become intellectual people.
On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed the desire that the Vietnamese community in Germany should continue to be united to build a strong and developed community, contributing to the development of the Vietnam-Germany relations in 2016./.
