Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Manh Dong, Vice Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, thanked the lecturers for their dedication in imparting knowledge, sharing valuable experiences, and creating a dynamic and effective learning environment. Their professionalism significantly contributed to the success of the Training Course.
Through the Training Course, he hopes that each trainee will become an ambassador for spreading the love of the Vietnamese language to overseas Vietnamese, their families, and communities. It also helps teachers broaden their understanding of the nation's history and culture, deepening their love and pride for their homeland. This inspiration aids teachers in conveying both language knowledge and national spirit to generations of Vietnamese people living abroad.

"With the knowledge and skills acquired in this training course, I believe teachers will successfully apply them in practice. Vietnamese language classes will not only be a place for learning but also for igniting a love for the homeland in young overseas Vietnamese," said Nguyen Manh Dong.
Hoang Thi Lai, a Vietnamese expatriate in Thailand, shared that she was born and raised in Thailand and always had a strong desire to learn about Vietnamese culture and history, especially her mother tongue. After the course, she plans to coordinate with the Vietnamese community in Thailand to set up classes and facilities to teach and spread Vietnamese, helping generations in Thailand connect with their homeland through the language.
Tran Dinh Linh Phuong, a Vietnamese in Switzerland, shared her positive experience of using Vietnamese abroad. She felt proud of her mother tongue and, after the training course, felt even more committed to teaching it to generations born in Switzerland.
After 2 weeks of training, Duoangluxeay Douan Oupatham, a teacher at Nguyen Du Lao-Vietnamese Bilingual School, stated that he gained valuable professional knowledge to improve his Vietnamese lessons in Laos. He hopes his students will learn to read, speak, and write Vietnamese while understanding the history and promoting the national identity of the Vietnamese community in Laos, thereby fostering Laos-Vietnam solidarity.

The training course for Vietnamese teachers abroad is an annual event aimed at improving the qualifications, pedagogical skills, and knowledge of both professional and non-professional teachers who teach Vietnamese at community language facilities.
The 12th training course in 2024, organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) in collaboration with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), took place from December 1-15, 2024, in Hanoi.
The trainees attended 17 classroom sessions on Vietnamese language teaching methods taught by lecturers from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. They also participated in the seminar "Methods of teaching Vietnamese to Vietnamese children abroad" with Dr. Nguyen Thuy Anh, author of "Hello Vietnamese," and observed practical teaching experiences at Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary School, Hanoi.
In addition to receiving professional knowledge, the teachers visited historical and cultural sites in Hanoi, including President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, the Ho Chi Minh relic site at the Presidential Palace, the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, the Vietnam Women's Museum, and Bat Trang pottery village. They also toured various places in Ha Nam and Ninh Binh.
