On the sidelines of President Nguyen Xuan Phuc's official visit to Switzerland, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) Nguyen Phuong Nga had a meeting with the Switzerland-Vietnam Friendship Association in Bern, Switzerland on Nov. 27, 2021.

Nga joined President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and the high-ranking delegation from the Vietnamese state and party to visit Switzerland at the invitation of Swiss President Guy Parmelin from Nov. 25 to Dec. 2.

At the meeting, Anjuska Weil, president of the Switzerland-Vietnam Friendship Association, expressed her delight at the development of the two countries' relations, saying she appreciated Vietnam's development achievements.

Members of the association proposed ideas to strengthen the friendship. They said the attachment of the Vietnamese community to Switzerland was an important in people-to-people exchanges and attracting young people in enhancing understanding and solidarity.
