World Vision launches "Month of Action for Children" in Quang Ngai province

(VNF) - World Vision recently joined hands with 10 primary and secondary schools in Minh Long district, Quang Ngai province to launch the "Month of Action for children". Gifts and rewards were presented to sponsored children and poor students who have overcome their difficulties to achieve excellence in study.

2,491 students participated in the event, of which 500 sponsored kids were awarded for their outstanding academic achievements and 2,000 poor children received clothings from Youngone corporation.

On this occasion, World Vision also supported the District Health Center to organize a weights and measures session for approximately 1,700 children under the age of 5.

Since 1990, World Vision has implemented many relief, development and advocacy programmes, partnering with the Vietnamese government, other non-governmental organisations and communities.

World Vision Vietnam works for the well-being of children and their protection. Every year, about 3 million children benefit from World Vision Vietnam’s programs, which are operated in 15 provinces and cities throughout Vietnam./.
