At the same time, the beauties of Japan are welcomed and passionately learned by Vietnamese people. The education exchange of the two countries' young generations is enhanced. Japan grants scholarships and invites many outstanding Vietnamese youths to study and exchange in Japan every year.

Yamanaka recalls the close friendship between revolutionist Phan Boi Chau and doctor Asaba Sakitaro and the Dong Du movement formed 118 years ago. By 1908, about 200 Vietnamese students had come to Japan. More than 100 years later, this number has grown to 70,000.

The President of the Vietnam Association said that the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations is an opportunity for the two countries to enter the era of real youth exchange. This meeting is the beginning of that process. The public and private sectors are also working together to improve the system, making Japan a safe place for foreigners to study, live and work.

Established in 2001, the Vietnamese Student Association in Japan is a non-profit organization recognized by the Vietnamese Embassy to Japan. The Association aims at promoting exchanges between Vietnamese students in different regions, expanding networks, and promoting friendship activities between Vietnam and Japan.

Minh said that promoting Japanese students to Vietnamese universities is significant for the friendship between the two countries in the future. He hopes that many Japanese young people and students will choose Vietnam to study abroad to learn more about the country and promote economic, cultural, educational, and sports exchanges.
