Attending the conference were Mr. Ha Phuoc Thang, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Ho Chi Minh City, along with representatives of the city's leaders, relevant departments and branches, and outstanding overseas Vietnamese delegates.

According to the report at the conference, in 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City Committee for Overseas Vietnamese identified 11 key tasks, specifically:

First, coordinate with departments, branches and units to advise on the implementation of tasks related to overseas Vietnamese. Specifically, focus on implementing programs and plans to promote overseas Vietnamese resources to serve the country's development, while continuing to implement the policies of the Politburo and Ho Chi Minh City on the development of science, technology and industrialization in the context of international integration.

Second, advise the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on the plan to organize a meeting of overseas Vietnamese on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 in the city; reward typical units, organizations and individuals with outstanding achievements, contributing to the locality and the city in 2024.

Third, develop a plan to organize the 18th Overseas Vietnamese Youth and City Youth Summer Camp in 2025 with the theme "Journey to the Southern Land"; meet overseas Vietnamese youth on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

Fourth, advise on a plan to honor 50 typical overseas Vietnamese individuals who have made many positive contributions to the construction and development of Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

Fifth, focus on repairing agencies and units in 2025, including building a space to introduce the "Overseas Vietnamese Bookshelf" to a large number of overseas Vietnamese and readers at the headquarters of the City Committee for Overseas Vietnamese.

Sixth, effectively implement the Project "Policy to promote remittance resources in Ho Chi Minh City from now until 2030"; urge and coordinate relevant departments and branches to implement the project. Advise the City People's Committee to establish: Advisory Group on developing remittance resources; Association of remittance service providers in Ho Chi Minh City; Service center to support overseas Vietnamese and relatives of overseas Vietnamese...

Seventh, complete the development of software for data on overseas Vietnamese residing in Ho Chi Minh City and organize effective implementation in Ho Chi Minh City.

Eighth, maintain the operation and effectively utilize the Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space - Overseas Vietnamese Meeting Place project, which is a place for exchanges, meetings, and information exchange through channels to introduce and promote goods to domestic and foreign markets; help overseas Vietnamese have more information about the Party's policies and the State's laws. Thereby calling for the cooperation and contribution of the overseas Vietnamese community in building, protecting and developing the City and developing the country.

Ninth, build and inaugurate the project "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space with Overseas Vietnamese on cyberspace": Collect documents, images, and works about the life, background, and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh; collect songs, stories, poems, and teachings of Uncle Ho... create QR codes to link to the Ho Chi Minh digital document library.

Tenth, advise on organizing and coordinating the organization of working delegations, working trips to visit and learn about the Vietnamese community in other countries, cultural exchange tours, social charity trips... Timely disseminate information and policies to the Vietnamese community, preserve the Vietnamese language in the Vietnamese community...

Finally, organize a conference to review and summarize the implementation of the memorandum of understanding on cooperation with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; departments, branches, units, provinces and cities. Organize conferences, seminars, and talks to promote initiatives and comments from overseas experts, intellectuals, and businessmen through conferences, seminars, and talks; promote overseas Vietnamese resources in the activities of building and developing the City.
