13 people missing in hydropower plant: Dangerous landslide, inaccessible locale
According to the Front-line Command Department, 30 people missing in connection with the landslides at Rao Trang 3 hydropower plant in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue due to serious landslide, the rescue work is underway with maximum efforts of finding and rescuing.

On the evening of October 13, at the Steering Committee of the Front-line Command Department located at the headquarters of the People's Committee of Phong Xuan commune, Phong Dien district (Thua Thien-Hue), Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong, and Lt. Gen. Nguyen Tan Cuong - Deputy Minister of Defense met with leaders of Thua Thien-Hue province, the Military Region 4 to implement the next plans to soon approach the scene of the landslide that previously caused the missing of 13 officers and soldiers.
It is known that on the 2,5-kilometer road from the communication site to the ranger of sub-area 67 - where the accident happened exist 3 serious landslides.

The leader of Thua Thien-Hue People's Committee said that due to the dense foggy weather conditions in the area, on the evening of October 13, the rescue force temporarily stopped the mission to ensure safety. It is expected that tomorrow (October 14), the rescue team can clear the landslides to reach the scene of the accident.
The Steering Committee has built up a detailed plan to find the missing people. The most professional forces will work with people who have great knowledge of the local terrain to approach the scene.

The Steering Committee requires the search process to ensure smooth communication between the forces involved, heading towards the area of hydropower Rao Trang 3, Rao Trang 4 and A Lin B2. At the same time, functional units shall prepare vehicles and mobile forces to rescue people who stuck in isolated areas.
