Nga went through two broken marriages in the past. When she was 18, she accidentally got pregnant, which led to her marrying at a young age. After a few years, she and her husband decided to get divorced. She and her child went back to her mother’s home and found a job to financially support themselves, but life got more difficult each day.
In September 2012, she got married to a Korean man through a matchmaking site. The husband was a nice man, but he was also an alcohol addict. After they became husband and wife, she had to take care of his three children from his previous marriage. When he refused to give up on alcohol, she came to a tough decision and ended their relationship.
“I try not to think about the past, because it reminded me of so much pain. However, because of these failed marriages, I understood myself more and learned how to take care of myself, and make life better”, Nga said.

When talking about her current marriage, Nga said she met Simon in Korea. When they first knew each other, she did not have many feelings for the man, but he won her heart and trust with his sincere love and honesty, spending time with her, taking care of her children and her family. He always listens to her and encourages her to share her thoughts, being a supportive boyfriend through hard times, which made her fall in love with him more and more. “In the last 8 years, every day is a blessing, and each memory between us is beautiful. We help and support each other in work and daily life. No matter how busy we can be, we will always spend time talking and doing things that we both enjoy. After work, my husband will pick up our children, then go back home to help me cook and clean whenever he can”, Nga said.
“Our age does not matter”
To Nga, the age gap between them is never a huge problem, nor are others' opinions about their marriage. She said from the moment she met him, her life has become much better, and it is filled with happiness. They have two kids together, a 7-year-old little girl and a 2-year-old baby boy. In November 2021, she brought her daughter from the previous marriage, who is already 18 years old, to live with them. Before that, the girl lived with her grandmother.

“Even though we are not rich, there is always laughter and love in our family, and there will be surprised gifts for no special occasion. Life in England here is much different from Vietnam since everything is new and exciting, but since I have my husband by my side, I try my best to get used to this life”, Nga said.
Simon Taylor said after meeting Nga, he knows he will never be with someone else. Back when they were still in a distance relationship, he often phone-called her and talked to her. “I am lucky to be her husband, and there are so many things to love about her. She is honest, lovely, smart, and caring towards others. She is also sweet, charming and a beautiful woman”, he said.

His parents said they never saw him happy like when he is with Nga. That happiness comes from their mutual love for each other and their children. Nga said they will keep staying back in England for the kids to have a great educational environment, and for Simon to take care of his parents.
