However, due to the complexity and the broader scale of the third outbreak, the sector has been directly influenced. Mr. Nha expressed his sharing to students, parents, and teachers who were submitted to medical isolation and confirmed that the Ministry has been cooperating with the Vietnam Education Union to provide support for teachers and students in isolated areas, especially during the Lunar New Year.

In particular, the Minister of Education and Training directed the whole system to activate, expand and improve the efficiency of online teaching. Nha noted that in the previous school break, nearly 80% of high school students had access to online and television learning, which meant that there was still 20% of students, especially students in remote areas were left behind. Therefore, he asked to expand and pay special attention to the quality assurance of online teaching methods.

Online teaching regulation to be released this week

Minister Phung Xuan Nha also requested specialized units to timely issue a regulation on the management of online teaching organizations for general education and further education institutions right in this week.

He requested specialized units to send documents to telecommunications, and information technology enterprises to request support for infrastructure and transmission lines for online teaching and learning activities. The building of the electronic lecture repository must also receive more attention.

Nha noted: “On the one hand, the whole education and training system needs to stay proactive and active. On the other hand, it also needs to be calm to avoid panic. Each level of schools needs to build a response scenario so that in each specific situation, it still ensures the dual goal: safety for students and teachers, and ensuring the plan of teaching and learning in the conditions that students cannot go to school”.
