Visitors to the "Bach Hoa Khanh Hoi 2022" festival on December 18 will have the opportunity to learn more about the ancient attire, try on the outfits, and admire re-enactments of royal rites.

In the summer of 2022, the parade "Bach Hoa Bo Hanh" (A Stroll of Hundreds of Flowers) was held for the first time on an unprecedented scale in Hanoi. This is an event that brings together many prestigious research units and ancient clothing brands with the participation of about 100 historical interest individuals wearing restored ancient costumes of Vietnam and walking around Hoan Kiem Lake area.

"Bach Hoa Bo Hanh" received an enthusiastic response from passersby, foreign tourists, the online community and press agencies. It is really a special festival for those who are passionate about Vietnamese cultural values, especially its feudal costumes. Each participant is a flower, forming hundreds of flowers blooming in the sun at the capital.

Following its success, the organizing committee decided to bring the gathering back, develop and organize it into a even bigger festival - "Bach Hoa Khanh Hoi 2022" at the Hanoi-based University of Social Sciences and Humanities (under Vietnam National University), in order to honor and continue to promote the active participation of young people in promoting and spreading Vietnamese cultural values to the domestic community and international friends.

This time, the festival will begin with a parade from the Van Mieu Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature) to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities by the Cat Linh-Ha Dong electric train (at 1pm-2pm).

Attendee can wear ao dai (traditional long dress), ao dai Ngu Than (five-flap long dress), Nhat Binh costume (square-collared garb), Doi Kham coat and Giao Linh dress, ao tac with loose and large sleeves, among others.

At the university, a space, which will last until 8pm, for cultural experience and traditional costumes will be organized for anyone who have an interest in Vietnamese traditional culture. In here, partipants will also can take part in two seminars on issues related to the application of ancient costumes and activities to preserve and promote the beauty of traditional culture.

At the gala night, there will be performances, re-enactment of ceremonies with traditional attires and contest to find ambassadors to promote traditional culture of University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

With this festival, the festival organizing committee expected that more and more people would shown increasing interest in ancient clothes, especially young generation, who will play the leading role in preserving and promoting cultural values in the future.

At National External Information Service Awards 2022, Bach Hoa Bo Hanh (Summer 2022) was honored to be nominated by the Vietnam News Agency and won an award in the category of Initiatives, ideas and products with external information value and was awarded by the organizing committee.

The award organizers highly appreciates the active participation of young people in promoting, introducing and spreading Vietnamese cultural values to the community, domestically and internationally.
