Plenty of investment opportunities

Binh Dinh People's Committee reported that since the beginning of the year, together with the Provincial Party Committee, it has invited many potential investors through effective advertising such as hosting with businesses to survey, learn and register for investment projects in sectors like industry, renewable energy, tourism, and artificial intelligence.

In particular, the province also worked with Embassies, Consulates, and delegations of many countries of Japan, New Zealand, Germany, and the United States. At these working sessions, Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee introduced the strengths, investment environment, mechanisms, and policies to attract investment to the fields and industries that Binh Dinh considers a top priority.

Also, it organized many major large-scale events that received the attention of foreign investors, businesses, and partners such as the Investment promotion seminar in Binh Dinh province between Vietnam - Belgium; the Investment promotion conference with German enterprises; Cooperation signing conference between Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee and authorities of 4 Southern Laos provinces for the period of 2021–2023.

The Provincial People's Committee also sends delegations on business missions to foreign countries, promoting the province in 3 countries Thailand, Germany, and Japan in the first 6 months of 2023. The fourth delegation to go to the US is in preparation.

Binh Dinh is Attractive for Foreign Investors

Since the beginning of 2023, Binh Dinh has attracted 41 new investment projects with a total registered capital of more than VND 11,005 billion (more than US $460,000). the number of new investment projects established within the first 6 months of this year already accounted for 68.3% of the 12-month plan, which is 60 projects.

In addition to newly registered projects, Binh Dinh also adjusted capital for 34 projects with an additional capital of VND 3,489 billion. This brings the total investment attraction capital in the first 6 months of 2023 in Binh Dinh to surpass the milestone of VND 14,000 billion.

As for foreign direct investment (FDI), Binh Dinh province has granted a new FDI project with a total investment capital of US $81,065 from a Singaporean investor within this year's first half. In addition, there are 4 projects adjusted to increase capital with a total adjusted capital of US $26.28 million. The province now has 87 FDI projects with a total registered capital of over US $1.13 billion.

According to the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Quoc Dung, FDI is an important source of investment capital for economic growth, so the province is determined to create an open and good-quality environment for foreign investors. In particular, the province focuses first on reforming administrative procedures, cutting down the time to fill the investment procedures, thus building a professional, modern, effective, and efficient administration.

Dung also said that the province will focus on developing and completing the transport infrastructure system of economic zones and industrial parks. There are also specific mechanisms and many favorable policies for foreign enterprises when coming to Binh Dinh.

Addressing the favorable conditions for foreign investors, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in Binh Dinh Pham Anh Tuan approved that the province always welcomes businesses who come to learn, invest and develop sustainably and long-term business efficiency.

In the last 6 months of 2023, Binh Dinh province will continue to actively call for large-scale, labor-intensive projects and modern production processes. Simultaneously, it will monitor and urge the progress of investment preparation, bidding, site clearance, and construction progress to complete a number of key projects on traffic, irrigation, health care, and culture.
