Careful Preparation for Vietnam - German Friendly Exchange Programs in 2024

On December 18, the Vietnam - Germany Friendship Association of Hanoi coordinated with its two new branches, namely the German House and the Germany - Vietnam Intellectual to summarize the association activities in 2023 and establish work tasks for the year 2024.

Vice Chairman of the Vietnam - Germany Friendship Association of Hanoi Can Van Minh stressed in his report that, in 2023, many friendly exchange activities were highly appreciated by the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations and the German Embassy in Vietnam for their contribution to strengthening the friendship and mutual understanding between the two people.

In particular, two new branches were established, namely the German House Branch with 31 members and the Germany - Vietnam Intellectual Branch with 15 members. There are 11 active branches in the Vietnam - Germany Friendship Association of Hanoi with 306 members.

There are also seminars on promoting trade and investment relations in Hanoi and Berlin, events in major German cities, support programs for Vietnamese skilled workers to access the German labor market and secure the opportunity to live and work long-term in Germany. Also, Vietnamese young people are provided support to access vocational training programs according to German standards. On the other hand, the Vietnam - Germany Friendship Association of Hanoi also assisted Vietnamese businesses in joining and establishing brands in the German market.

The meeting stated that the plan for 2024 will continue to focus on strengthening and expanding the organizational structure. The key tasks include reviewing and upgrading its website and leading a working delegation in Germany to promote friendly and cooperative activities in some German cities. Another important task is to create a friendly exchange program to celebrate the 49th founding anniversary of Vietnam - Germany diplomatic relations (September 23, 1975 - September 23, 2024).

Regarding the results of the Vietnam - Germany Friendship Association of Hanoi's activities in 2023, Chief Representative of the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Vietnam Marko Walde, affirmed that such contribution played an important role in promoting bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Germany. He praised the activities that the Vietnam - Germany Friendship Association in Hanoi has implemented recently, especially for the Vietnamese and German business communities.

Representing the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations (HAUFO), Vice Chairman Nguyen Nam Hai suggested that in 2024, there will be more friendly exchange programs through field visits to foreign countries to promote bilateral cooperation more effectively and frequently.

At the event, new members of the Executive Committee term VI, term 2022-2027 were also elected.
