Recently, foreigners in Dong Nai have received attention from Vietnamese friends through connection activities and foreign affairs programs. Among them, 10 member friendship associations of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations organize fun activities for the community of foreigners in Dong Nai. Particularly, the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Dong Nai province regularly organizes Vietnam - Japan friendship cultural exchange programs to celebrate the anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

According to the Chairman of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Dong Nai Province Nguyen Van Quyet, members of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Dong Nai Province performed music and martial arts performance from Vietnam and Japan. In addition, the organizers also created a culinary space to introduce some typical Vietnamese and Japanese dishes to people attending the events.

Consul General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City Ono Masuo said several activities are organized to create conditions for Japanese people studying and working in Dong Nai to meet and interact with the Vietnamese community.

In April, the Provincial People's Committee organizes the Traditional Tet Fun Program Bunpimay (Laos) and Chol Chnam Thmay (Cambodia) for students of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and the Kingdom of Cambodia studying in Dong Nai. There are 52 Lao and Cambodian students studying at 5 colleges and universities in the province. This activity attracts Lao and Cambodian people working in Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City to come and participate.

Meanwhile, the Friendship Melodies Festival is held annually to unite foreigners living in Dong Nai. Everyone coming to the festival cheers for their friends to perform on stage.

Chairman of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations Nguyen Thanh Tri said the festival not only attracts local members but also foreigners and leaders of foreign diplomatic agencies in Vietnam.

Chairman of the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association of Dong Nai province Tran Thanh Hung said Dong Nai has many Cambodian international students studying in different professional fields. Therefore, the association also focuses on supporting people in need.

Love and warmth to the foreign community

Along with people-to-people exchange activities for associations and organizations, foreigners living in Dong Nai also receive attention from the community.

Dedluexai Volaixai, who was born in Laos, works at a pharmacy in Bien Hoa City. He said his Vietnamese friends in Dong Nai always invite him to participate in group activities and warmly welcome him. When he moved house or found a new place to rent, his friends always came over to help him. Occasionally, they also went on short trips together to relax after a hard-working year.

Recently, in Dong Nai, there have been many Indians coming to teach yoga at sports centers and gyms. Occasionally, coaches and students share stories about their families. From that moment, they begin to form strong friendships and learn more about each other’s culture and country.
