The 6am news on August 25 of the National Steering Committee for the prevention of the COVID-19 epidemic said that Vietnam did not record any new cases of COVID-19.
Up to 6am on August 25, Vietnam had a total of 680 cases of COVID-19 due to domestic infections, of which the number of new cases related to Da Nang as of July 25 was 540 cases. health monitoring (quarantine) was 71,821.
According to the report of the Treatment Sub-Committee (the National Steering Committee for the prevention and control of the epidemic, COVID-19), up to now, 588/1022 COVID-19 patients in Vietnam have been declared cured.

On the afternoon of August 24, at the meeting of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, the Steering Committee requested the Ministry of Health to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with ministries and localities in, issuing a handbook instruting how to safely live together with COVID-19 pandemic.
Members of the Steering Committee suggest that in order to live safely with Covid-19, it is necessary to continue propagating people to comply with the basic regulations such as: Only going out when necessary; regularly wearing a mask when going out, often washing hands with soap, clean water or antiseptic products, according to Bao Moi.
In addition, the Ministry of Health said that it will synthesize the experience of Covid-19 prevention and control in Da Nang, Quang Nam, Hai Duong, ... to organize training for other localities across the country.

Vietnam has performed one million rRT-PCR tests
According to the Department of Preventive Medicine, from the first outbreak of Covid-19 to 3 pm on August 24, Vietnam has performed a total of 1,009,145 tests using RealTime RT-PCR method. Particularly on August 24, there were 11,698 samples made in one day only. Currently, there are 71 units carrying out the Covid-19 confirmation test with a capacity of about 34,000 samples/ day.
Realtime RT-PCR (rRT-PCR) is a method of determining the presence of virus in a patient sample through genetic material of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Results of rRT-PCR identify infected people, meet early detection requirements, in order to isolate and treat as well as promptly take appropriate measures to prevent epidemics, cited by Nhan Dan.
