36 hours of no new infection recorded
According to the Ministry of Health, on August 31, no new cases of COVID-19 were recorded, the number of total cases nationwide is stopping at 1,040 people, of which 695 people have been cured.
Up to now, among COVID-19 patients undergoing treatment, the number of first-time negative cases for SARS-CoV-2 is 40; second negative cases: 48 cases, third-time negative cases: 27 cases.
Thus, for 36 hours, Vietnam has not recorded new cases of COVID-19. Answering Tuoi Tre Online, Mr. Dang Quang Tan - Director of the Department of Preventive Medicine (Ministry of Health) - said that there have been no new patients recorded for more than a day, which is a remarkable sign of directional pandemic control.
Da Nang proposes to loosen social distancing restrictions

The Government Office issued Notice No. 313/ TB-VPCP on the conclusion of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the Standing meeting of the Government on COVID-19 prevention and control.
Accordingly, from September 1, 2020, a fee will be charged for all entry into Vietnam in all quarantine places. Medical examination and treatment expenses continue to be paid by the state budget according to Clause 2, Article 48 of the Law on prevention and control of infectious diseases.
The Prime Minister asked localities to arrange isolation facilities to meet the requirements of the immigrants, regardless of foreigners and Vietnamese, Tien Phong cited.
Besides, the Ministry of Transport shall lead and coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs to immediately handle the reopening of commercial routes between Vietnam and Japan, South Korea and places with high safety factor.
