Attending the event were Deputy Consul General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City Tfurudate Seiki; President of the Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations Nguyen Thanh Tri; Chairman of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Dong Nai province Nguyen Van Quyet and many members of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of the province.

At the program, delegates enjoyed art performances, culinary exchanges, and viewed the Vietnam - Japan friendship painting exhibition by Dong Nai students.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded 42 prizes to students for their outstanding achievements in the competitions: Vietnam - Japan friendship painting, Haiku poetry writing and Japanese speech.
Chairman of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Dong Nai province Nguyen Van Quyet said that the Vietnam - Japan Cultural Exchange aims to build and strengthen the solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the people of Dong Nai province and the people of Japan. Thereby, it introduces and informs the people in the province about the country, people, culture, achievements in nation-building of the Japanese people as well as the special traditional relations between the two countries.

According to Nguyen Huu Nghi, Dean of Lac Hong University, the Vietnam - Japan Cultural Exchange and the competitions have created a healthy and useful playground for students studying Japanese in Dong Nai province in general and Lac Hong University in particular to have the opportunity to exchange culture, improve Japanese language skills, creative thinking, and confidence in communication.
At the same time, the program is also a bridge to help students understand more deeply about Japanese culture, thereby forming love and respect for the cultural values of a country that has many similarities and ties with Vietnam.
