The Friendship Tennis Tournament 2023, held on October 7 by the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations (HAUFO) coordinated with the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, attracted about 100 athletes from embassies and international organizations.

The 2023 Friendship Tennis Tournament is an event in a series of annual activities of the HAUFO and one of the important cultural exchange activities increase camaraderie between ASEAN countries and international friends.

Attending the tournament were nearly 100 athletes from the embassies of Ireland, America, Russia, Japan, France, and the United Nations Office in Vietnam; as well as Filipino and Korean communities in Hanoi.

The tournament also has the participation of bilateral and multilateral friendship associations of the HAUFO.

In her opening speech, HAUFO Permanent Vice President Tran Thi Phuong emphasized that this is a friendship sports activity to create conditions for foreign diplomats who are working in Hanoi to meet and interact with officials of people-to-people diplomacy and officials of the capital's culture and sports sector. The activity aims to strengthen solidarity and friendship between the people of the capital and international friends.

Through sports competitions, the organizing committee contributes to propagating and promoting the image of peaceful Hanoi and its dynamic, enthusiastic and sports-loving people to international friends. At the same time, strengthen coordination with embassies of other countries in friendly exchange activities, creating bridges for cooperation in fields of interest to all parties, contributing to promoting international integration and attracting investment suitable for socio-economic development cooperation with Hanoi and countries around the world.

After a period of exciting and dramatic competition, the first prize went to the Hanoi's Vietnam - UK Friendship Association, the second prize went to the Hanoi's Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association, the third prize went to UNESCO team, the Friendship awards belong to the US Embassy in Vietnam and the Vietnam - Palestine Friendship Association.
