Ba Ra Mountain

Ba Ra Mountain is a beautiful spot that attracts a lot of tourists coming to visit around the New Year holiday. Standing at the peak of the mountain, people can have an incredible panoramic view of luxurious forests stretching to the hills.

Ba Ra is a place whose name is closely connected to the heroic resistance of the people of Phuoc Long. There is a monument commemorating the fighters who sacrificed their lives to defend the region.

Binh Phuoc province is characterized by a humid tropical monsoon climate. The climate here is divided into two seasons: dry and rainy season. According to experienced travelers, if tourists choose to explore the forest or climb up the mountains, it is best to arrive in the dry season (from November to April).

Today, Ba Ra Mountain has become one of the “must-see” destinations because of its wild and magnificent landscape. They can reach the peak of the mountain two ways, by walking up 1,767 steps from Bang Lang Hill or riding a cable car.

Near Ba Ra Mountain is Bu Gia Map National Park, covering 2,6000ha, which belongs to the Southeast Asian bio-geological area. It is the home of many rare animals and plants.

Ba Den Mountain

Ba Den Mountain, located northeast of Tay Ninh City, is a famous and iconic landmark in South Vietnam. Specifically, this gigantic mountain is situated within the cultural and historical relic complex of Ba Den, which is approximately 100 kilometers away from the bustling streets of Ho Chi Minh City.

The best time to visit Ba Den Mountain is during the dry season, which typically lasts from December to April. This period offers ideal weather conditions for travel, as rainfall is minimal and the skies are generally clear. Visitors can enjoy their journey without worrying about heavy downpours and muddy trails, bringing a more pleasant and comfortable experience.

For those who wish to immerse themselves in the local culture, the festival season of Ba Den Pagoda is also an excellent traveling experience. This festival takes place from January 4 to 16 annually, attracting a large number of pilgrims to the mountain. The lively festive atmosphere provides a unique opportunity to witness traditional ceremonies, performances, and local customs.

Visitors can also choose to spend the night in the mountains to experience a Da Lat of the Southeast region, which are the four seasons of spring, summer, fall, and winter in one day.

Chua Chan Mountain

Set in Dong Nai, Chua Chan Mountain is the second-highest peak in southeastern Vietnam, with a height of 837 m. Located roughly 100 km from Ho Chi Minh City, Chua Chan is the ideal mountain retreat for residents and visitors to the area. This former volcano is not only a favorite spot of southern Vietnamese, but it’s also a world heritage site as of 2012.

The mountain has gained fame with a pagoda called Buu Quang on the peak and a strange banyan tree with three roots nestled in the middle of the mountain, drawing attention from large numbers of pilgrims in neighboring provinces.

From HCMC, tourists can start their journey along National Highway No.1 to reach Long Khanh Town, and then drive about 30 kilometers on Provincial Road 766 to Xuan Loc Town and continue another three kilometers to get to the mountain.
