Facing the World to Conduct 40.000 More Craniofacial Operations For Vietnamese Patients

According to Kandel, FTW looks to establish appropriate self-sustaining craniofacial centers and outreach programs in Vietnam, offer international fellowships and sponsor training missions to partner hospitals in Vietnam.

Speaking at the meeting, Phan Anh Son acknowledged and appreciated FTW's contributions to Vietnam. He said VUFO would support FTW to continue implementing upcoming projects.
Facing the World (FTW) is a non-governmental organization working to improve and mitigate children's facial deformities through supporting facial orthopedic surgery. FTW has been cooperating with Vietnam since 2008. It has so far partnered with 4 hospitals in Vietnam. During its operation in Vietnam, FTW has coordinated to organize more than 100 visits, exchange medical experts with Vietnam, set up the Center for Craniofacial and Plastic Surgery at 108 Central Military Hospital in Hanoi, and contribute £2 million worth of technological equipment to partner hospitals.
