A festival featuring the traditional culture of the Co Tu ethnic community in the central city of Da Nang and the central province of Quang Nam will take place in Da Nang city on March 29th for the first time.

The festival aims to preserve and uphold the cultural values of the Co Tu people.

Accordingly, traditional crafts relating to the Co Tu ethnic minority group, including brocade weaving, bamboo and rattan weaving and wood sculpture will be the focus of presentations by artisans from Dong Giang district, Quang Nam province.

There will be an exhibition on the traditional costumes, music, festivals and customs of the Co Tu people.

In addition, visitors will have an opportunity to taste “ruou can”(wine drunk out of a jar via bamboo tubes) and enjoy gong performances by an art troupe from Hoa Bac commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city./.
