Flood-affected people in Quang Ngai receive support from NGO

Following on from previous efforts, this week, within the framework of the the Germany's Relief Coalition's emergency aid (Aktion Deutschland Hilft), World Vision Vietnam recently has distributed cash to 410 households affected by floods in Minh Long District, Quang Ngai Province.
The total value of this distribution was up to VND 738 million (USD 32,031).
This activity belongs to World Vision Vietnam's Response and Early Recovery Program in response to the widespread flooding and landslides caused by the recurrent rains and typhoons in Central Vietnam.

With a budget of more than USD 1.4 million, this program aims to address the most urgent needs with life-saving assistance and speed up life building process for more than 10,000 most vulnerable households in the affected areas of Quang Tri, Quang Nam, and Quang Ngai provinces.
Four storms, including typhoons Molave and Goni, triggered floods and landslides that devastated central provinces in Vietnam from October to December 2020, with 249 people either killed or missing and 11,700 houses damaged or destroyed.
World Vision started working in Vietnam in 1988. Since then, the organization has implemented many relief and development programs, partnering with the Vietnamese government, other NGOs, and communities. World Vision's long-term development programs are currently operated in 18 cities and provinces throughout Vietnam.
