On the occasion of the 76th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day, embassies of Belgium and Bulgaria have been jointly contributed to overcome these trying times together with local people.

The Hanoi Medical University Hospital at Emergency resuscitation field hospital for Covid-19 patient treatment in Binh Duong Province on Sep.2 received two 5-Parameter patient monitors and three non-invasive ventilators donated by the Belgian Investment Company for Developing countries, Honorary Consul of Belgium in Ho Chi Minh city Gricha Safarian and Belgian Ambassador Paul Jansen throught the fundraising campaign "Breathe Again".

In early August, Safarian, who is also the general director of Puratos Grand-Place Vietnam sponsored two monitors to Binh Duong.

This idea gave birth to the “Breathe Again” campaign aiming to support of essential medical equipment for Vietnam during the Covid fourth wave outbreak which is launched by European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam.

With the contribution now surpassed USD 150,000, Breathe Again Vietnam initiative will continue to purchase and deliver these much needed supplies to hardest hit areas as fast as possible.

On their post in Facebook page, the Embassy of Belgium in Vietnam congratulated all of Vietnamese on the national day. They wish Vietnamese and their family a joyful celebration of the National Day and encourage everyone to follow the Covid health measures so that next year we can enjoy this special day in a better condition.

On the occasion of the National Day of Vietnam and in the spirit of goodwill, bestowed by the close and friendly relations between Bulgaria and Vietnam, the Bulgarian Embassy supports the local community at Kim Ma Ward 600 kg of rice.

Meanwhile, Bulgarian Ambassador to Vietnam Marinela Petkova and the team of the embassy have supported the local community of neighbors at Kim Ma Ward, Hanoi by gifting them 600 kg of rice.

The recepient Kim Ma Ward People's Committee will help distribute the donation to 120 local households negatively affected by Covid-19.

"In these challenging times of global pandemic affecting us all, we truly believe that a strong sense of togetherness, of duty and responsibility towards our community, is the key element in overcoming the consequences of Covid-19," wrote the embassy on their Facebook page.

They also hope that this modest gesture could help alleviate the current burdens and lift the spirits in the neighborhood.

Bulgaria and Vietnam share a decades-long tradition of mutual aid and support in times of need, which is the founding element of the excellent bilateral partnership we enjoy today and of the sincere bonds of friendship existing between the people.

"As we celebrate this year the National Day of Vietnam we look forward with hope and with conviction that societies do better by love and mutual appreciation," the post concluded.

The receiving ceremony was held on August 31.

The Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City and the city's Department of External Relations, on August 31 successfully co-organized the handover ceremony for the donation of medical relief package consisting of 100MT of Liquid Medical Oxygen and 300 oxygen concentrators from the Government of India to the Government of Vietnam at Nha Rong Port.

The Indian Navy Ship INS AIRAVAT arrived in Nha Rong-Khanh Hoi Port on August 30 bringing Covid-19 relief supplies as a friendly contribution from India to the people and Government of Vietnam in their ongoing fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Earlier, Bangladesh Embassy in Hanoi has paid tribute to Father of the Nation in the Month of National Mourning by arranging a voluntary blood donation program amidst shortages due to Covid-19.

Ambassador Samina Naz and embassy officials as well as Vietnamese business friends took part in the program and donated her blood.

The blood donation event was organised in accordance with pandemic prevention and control regulations, especially the Health Ministry’s 5K message - khau trang (face mask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distance), khong tu tap (no gathering), and khai bao y te (health declaration).
