Ambassador Park Noh-wan confirmed that in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam-Korea relations in general and Hanoi-Korean localities relations, in particular, have been effectively maintained. Over the past time, Korean major enterprises have actively deployed big projects in Hanoi under the Hanoi authorities' support.

Emphasizing Hanoi's important role in the two countries' cooperation relations, the Korean Ambassador proposed an official talk between the Hanoi authority and the Korean enterprises to seek path to promote cooperation, allow enterprises to share their proposal and challenges, which will set up a foundation for Korean enterprises' further active contribution to Hanoi's development. In the term of smart city development, heading towards the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relation establishment in 2022, Ambassador Park Noh-wan hoped to coordinate with Hanoi to implement smart city projects, thereby expanding the model to other localities.

On the basis of the two countries' strategic cooperation partnership and a deepening friendship, Hanoi People's Committee Chairman Chu Ngoc Anh hoped the two countries to strengthen their relationship, especially in the post-Covid-19 recovery. He praised Korean enterprises' projects for associating with Hanoi's urbanization process.

On the 25th anniversary of the friendship and cooperation between the two capitals this year, the two sides actively contacted and proposed cultural exchanges and investment promotion.

In consensus with the initiative of organizing a talk between the Hanoi government and Korean enterprises, Mr. Chu Ngoc Anh hoped the Ambassador would increase support to create a connection channel among businesses. He hoped that both sides would work together to remove difficulties for enterprises in promoting investment, giving priority to investment in technology, biology, and environment-friendly fields; sharing experiences, transferring technology in issues that Hanoi is interested in, such as urban traffic, environment, water resource management.

Appreciating Korea's support for Hanoi in building smart cities, Mr. Chu Ngoc Anh assigned relevant agencies to actively coordinate with Korea and consider this as a major task towards the 30th anniversary of the diplomatic relation establishment. Hanoi city also commits to highly focus on administrative reform, reduce difficulties, create favorable conditions for businesses, including Korean to invest in the city.
