Teaching and learning activities will be conducted online, according to the decision.

The latest Covid-19 outbreak has basically been put under control. However, revelers will return to the city after the Lunar New Year holiday for study and work in droves, so the decision was made to ensure the health and safety of residents and prevent the further community spread, the decision said.

As previously planned, students would return to school on February 17, or the sixth day of the Lunar New Year.

Besides, the HCMC Department of Education and Training said that during the period of online learning and teaching, educational institutions must regularly report the number of employees, teachers, students and students’ parents who have traveled to other parts of the country from February 2 to 16.

In addition, the education and training facilities must update the cases in which staff, teachers, students and students’ parents had close contact with Covid-19 patients or live at the places under lockdown.

The reports must be made from February 15 and before 10.00 a.m. every day

On February 14, Hanoi Department of Education and Training approved the decision to let students of elementary, secendary and high schools, and continuing education centers stay at home from February 17 until further announcement.

According to Hanoi Department of Education and Training, after receiving the report, People’s Committee of Hanoi will base on the actual situation to give decision. After that, there will be notification sent to each school.

During social distancing time, students must stay at home in order to prevent Covid-19 from spreading, and participate in online learning and teaching organized by schools.

Kindergartens follow the instructions in Official Letter No. 401/SGD ĐT – GDMN dated February 4, 2021 written by Hanoi Department of Education and Training about ensueing the safety of children and preventing the spread of Covid-19.

From January 31 to February 16, People’s Committee of Hanoi will allow students to stay at home to help preventing and controlling Covid pandemic.

During that time, Hanoi Department of Education and Training will direct schools and education centers to maintain and organize the quality of studying and learning through online teaching, following social distancing and coronavirus prevention rules.
