Ho Chi Minh City to Host the World Tourism Awards Ceremony for the Second Time

The World Travel Awards ceremony in Asia and Oceania in 2022 will be held in Ho Chi Minh City on September 7, according to recent announcements from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.

The World Travel Awards, which were established in 1993, are the most prestigious awards in the travel industry worldwide. They are given out to high achievers in all facets of the tourist sector.

Vietnam is thrilled to be chosen to host the World Travel Awards for the second time. Previously, the 2019 Asia and Oceania regional awards event was held on Phu Quoc pearl island.

The World Travel Awards celebrate Ho Chi Minh City as a dynamic city that draws travelers because it successfully combines the old and the new. Visitors to Ho Chi Minh City can explore the city's numerous lanes, bustling markets, skyscraper-filled commercial districts, and serene temples.

Since 2017, Vietnam has had the privilege of winning numerous important World Travel Awards titles, including Leading Heritage Destination of the World, Best Golf Destination of the World, Leading Destination in Asia, Best Cultural Destination, and Best Golf Destination of the World. The top gastronomic destination in Asia, Asia's top culinary destination, etc. Ho Chi Minh City was awarded to earn the World Travel Awards' Best MICE Travel Destination in Asia 2021 title in November 2021.
