In his remarks, Vietnamese Ambassador to Slovakia Nguyen Tuan emphasized that he will always accompany the community in activities and life, contributing to the growing strength of the Vietnamese community in Slovakia. Tuan also thanked the community for actively joining many activities over the years, contributing to the increasingly good relations between the two countries. In 2023, the Slovak Government officially recognized the Vietnamese Slovak community as the 14th ethnic minority of this country, he added.

In an interview with Slovakian National Television, the Vietnamese diplomat shared that Vietnamese people, who work hard and obey the law, have contributed to the economic, social and cultural development of Slovakia. The community is also a bridge to enhance the Vietnam - Slovakia diplomatic relations.

In addition, the Vietnamese community here has made many contributions to the homeland of Vietnam, receiving Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

They are the merits to mark their achievements in mobilizing donations to support flood victims in the Central region, the Vaccine Fund, medical equipment for COVID-19 prevention, and contributions to the purchase of sovereignty boats. Ambassador Nguyen Tuan strongly believed that the community will become stronger and more developed in the coming time.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Slovakia Vo Phuong thanked the Vietnamese community in all provinces and cities of Slovakia for their support, saying that the entire community provided great support both financially and in terms of labor to the success of the festival. Phuong claimed that the community is gradually transforming itself to integrate more and more deeply into Slovakia, becoming a vocal and prestigious workforce, attracting the attention of Slovakian politicians.

The festival took place in a joyful and bustling atmosphere, with many unique performances imbued with traditional culture performed by the Vietnamese community in Slovakia and many Vietnamese artists in Europe.

This is the opportunity for visitors to try many traditional Vietnamese dishes and drinks such as Pho, Bun Cha, Bun Nem, Xoi Xeo, sugarcane juice, lemon tea, and fresh coconut. They can also take souvenir photos and experience the interesting cultural space decorated by the community.
