Sandeep Arya, Ambassador of India to Vietnam, delivered a speech.

At the event, Sandeep Arya, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Vietnam, remarked on the profound cultural and civilizational connections between India, Vietnam, and the broader Southeast Asian region. These ties are evident in various domains, from spirituality and arts to handicrafts, historical relics, and the nuances of customs, cultural values, attire, and cuisine.

Ambassador Arya highlighted that the Food Festival was organized as part of the Mekong-Ganga Cooperation (MGC) framework to celebrate the close relationship between India and the five member countries: Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam.

In recent years, business exchanges, tourism, yoga, cultural activities, and other provincial-level interactions have invigorated the relationship between India and Vietnam. In this context, the Indian Food Festival plays a key role in introducing the rich and diverse culinary traditions of India to the people of Hanoi.

At the festival, Chef Arun Kumar from the renowned five-star hotel "The Ashok" in New Delhi, alongside another experienced chef from India, showcased an array of delectable, authentic Indian dishes. The offerings included Amritsar fish, Bengal fish curry, Murgh Awadhi Korma (chicken stew with gravy), Dal Tadka (lentil stew with spices), Paneer (Indian cheese), Murg Malai Tikka (grilled chicken tikka), Gosht Shami Kebab (minced meat patties), and many more. This festival provided the residents of Hanoi with an authentic taste of Indian cuisine, right in the heart of their city.
