	Foreign NGO Aid Mobilization Yields Positive Results in Quang Nam Province

The Kim Bong Traditional Craft Village Festival took place on February 8-9 at Hoi An city, central Quang Nam province. Many international tourists show enthusiasm hand-on experience in weaving basket and sedge mat.

The festival took place with the Hien Kim Bong sacrifice ceremony, the Phat moc (cut wood) ritual, along with traditional art performances, folk games, carpentry making demostration, local cuisine, and go on. The Quang Nam Department of Agriculture and Rural Development also awarded the decision and recognized the traditional profession of Lac Kim Bong projector.

Within the framework of the festival, there were many rich activities to introduce the unique cultural features of Kim Bong village such as ship building and repair, sedge mat weaving and carpentry, among others.

During the festival, visitors not only have the chance to experience wood carving, sedge mat weaving processes but also enjoy traditional folk games, explore the rural market, and savor local special dishes.

This year, for the first time, the Kim Bong Rural Market reenactment activity was introduced to the public. According to the organizing committee, in the coming time, this will be a monthly activity, promising to attract tourists and promote Cam Kim agricultural products to the Hoi An market and neighboring areas. The Kim Bong Rural Market only uses environmentally friendly packaging and items, creating an ancient market space, and bringing the experience of visiting and exploring Kim Bong countryside in the direction of green and sustainable development.

Established in the 15th century, Kim Bong Carpentry Village is famous for building most of the wooden structures of ancient Hoi An. Kim Bong carpenters were summoned to build the Imperial City of Hue.
