Korean Cultural Road Festival Returns to Hanoi

The organizers of the Korean Culture Road Festival hope that this will symbolize harmony between the two countries.

A Korean Culture Road Festival 2024 organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea (RoK) in Vietnam is being held from April 13 to April 14 in Hanoi, VOV reported.

This year’s festival features a series of activities, including a cuisine experience offering a range of Korean products such as Tokbokki, gingseng, and other traditional Korean dishes.

The two-day cultural festival offers local people a chance to experience Korean culture and cuisine with a series of activities, including an exhibition of products of Korean businesses, the process of making kimchi, and Korean folk games.

Along with various culinary events, festival goers have the chance to try on the traditional Hanbok clothing.

The highlight of the festival will be the Vietnam-Korean art programme, which features the best K-Pop and Vietnamese singers, dancers, and Korean national martial arts team.

There is a photo area to introduce typical tourist destinations in Korean localities that is part of the “Local 100” campaign launched by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of RoK to boost tourism in provinces to celebrate the “Visit Korea Year 2024” program.

Most notably, a social charity program arranged by SOS Children's Villages Vietnam will also be held within the framework of the event.

According to Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Choi Youngsam, the function aims to boost the relationship and culture exchanges between the two peoples, as well as providing an excellent chance for anyone who loves the RoK to explore the its rich culture and exquisite cuisine.

Last year saw the festival attract the participation of more than 20,000 visitors.

The first "Korean Cultural Road" festival was held in 2022 to mark 30 years since the establishment of the diplomatic ties between the two countries.
