The gifts consisted of food, necessities, medical facemasks and disinfection liquid, valued at 12 million kips (VND 27 million).

Souliya said the Covid situation in Laos and other Southeast Asian countries continue to be complicated and requested that Vietnamese students in Laos keep upholding solidary and adhering to the Covid prevention measures of the Lao Ministry of Health to protect themselves and help the Party, government and people of Laos battle against Covid.
Recalling the great friendship between Laos and Vietnam, Souliya highlighted the roles and responsibilities of the youth in both countries in preserving and developing this relationship. Souliya also reminded Vietnamese students to continue studying hard and maintaining good ethics to contribute to the development of Vietnam upon graduation and nurturing the friendship between Laos and Vietnam.
On behalf of the Vietnamese students in Laos, Vice Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s committee in Laos Bui Huu Ngoc thanked the meaningful support of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union Central Committee for Vietnamese students in Laos during Covid. This support would cement the friendship and solidarity between Lao and Vietnamese Youth. Vietnamese students in Laos would strive to support the country in curbing Covid-19.
Vietnamese students at the National University of Laos promised to study, nurture good ethics and achieve good results, contributing to the relationship between the youth in Vietnam and Laos.
Previously, on May 4, 2021, the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos presented necessities to the Vietnamese students at the National University of Laos to overcome Covid. The gifts included 500kg of rice, 1,000 facemasks, 20 personal protective kits, 20 bottles of disinfection liquid, 30 boxes of instant noodles and 2,000 eggs.
The National University of Laos is one of the most trustable centers in Laos in providing language training and undergraduate and graduate studies for Vietnamese students. The university is offering programs to 184 students from Vietnam, most of whom are under the exchange mechanism at the government level. Hundreds of Vietnamese students have been working for Vietnamese agencies related to Laos after graduation, including the Vietnamese Embassy and other representative agencies of Vietnam in Laos.
