Radar station 575 cooperates with the locality to decorate the coastal road in Ngu Phung commune, Phu Quy island district, Binh Thuan province. |
It has become a routine, every Saturday, the unit cooperates with the youth and local people to clean the beach, mobilizing people and tourists to join hands in cleaning the sea.
Major Nguyen Van Cong, politician of Radar Station 575 explians that the unit stationed on the island, besides focusing on leading and directing officers and soldiers to organize training well, also commanded the unit to work closely with local authorities. The unit coordinated to organize gratitude activities, participate in the construction of new rural areas, implement the program about the Vietnamese Navy as a fulcrum for fishermen to reach out to sea.
Only in the first quarter of the past year, Radar Station 575 mobilized officials and soldiers to coordinate with local youth to help people clean up the beach. The coastal belt road in Ngu Phung commune, Phu Quy island district has been cleaned up. From the sea, the waves lapped against the sandy shore with white foam. Also on the occasion of the 90th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, youth units and localities organized many campaigns to clean up the environment, transport tens of tons of garbage, clear trees and wild grass in the area.
Comrade Do Huu Truong, chairman of the People's Committee of Ngu Phung commune, Phu Quy island district said: Officers and soldiers of Radar Station 575 always accompany the locality. The image of officers and soldiers of the unit is always close, they coordinate effectively to carry out the mass mobilization work, which has left an impression on the people of the island.
For example, the new rural road in Thuong Chau village, Ngu Phung commune has just been completed with the help of soldiers of Radar Station 575. On the day of concrete pouring of the road, officers and soldiers of the unit participated in the project. With the participation of the soldiers, the local people were excited to contribute together, working very urgently. In just one day, more than 1 kilometer of concrete road was completed. On the opening day of the road, everyone was happy, excited and thanked the soldiers of the station.

Over the years, Radar Station 575 has regularly completed the task of observing, detecting and controlling targets at sea and low-altitude airspace to report to headquarters at all levels. The station actively coordinates with authorities to guide fishermen to avoid and shelter from wind, storms as well as extreme weather in thunderstorms. The unit actively develops plans, contacts the Party committees, local authorities and people in the area to propagate about the sea and islands, helping fishermen confidently reach out to sea.
Fisherman Nguyen Van Sau, in Ngu Phung commune, Phu Quy island district confided: People in the sea and islands are always grateful to the Navy. In the distant sea, the ships on duty as well as officers and soldiers are always ready to support and help fishermen in all aspects. At the port, we also receive guidance from the unit on sustainable fishing as well as first aid when encountering accident and risky situations.
When necessary, soldiers of the unit are always on the move to accompany the people. People of Ngu Phung commune, Phu Quy island district always cherish the unit's soldiers like family members.
