Attending the event were Nguyen Dang Phat, Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association, nearly 100 members who are former Vietnamese students, postgraduates, and interns who studied at the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association, former students of Moscow State Mining University (Russian Federation), members currently working at the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group, and many other organizations and enterprises.

At the congress, delegates listened to and discussed reports on the activities of the Moscow State Mining University Alumni Liaison Board in recent times. In particular, the Steering Committee has completed the procedures towards establishing a Branch under the Central Committee of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association discussed the regulations on the organization and operation of the Branch, and drafted a plan for 2025 and the entire term until 2030.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association of Moscow State Mining University alumni, consisting of 7 members: Tran Xuan Hoa, a former member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association, former Chairman of Board of Members of the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group, was elected Chairman of the Association.

Nguyen Dang Phat, Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association, congratulated the establishment of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association of Moscow State Mining University alumni. He said the Association will contribute to expanding the network of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association, which currently includes 32 provincial and municipal associations, and 17 associations at ministries, departments, branches, universities, and Alumni Liaison Committees of Soviet/Russian universities.

Nguyen Dang Phat also introduced the regular activities of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association and shared the action plan for 2025. He believed the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association of the Moscow State Mining University alumni would make many positive contributions to the association while updating information on the situation of Vietnam - Russia and new developments in the Russian Federation.

Establishing the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association marks an important step in consolidating and expanding the network of exchanges and cooperation between Vietnamese alumni who studied in Russia, promoting the increasingly strong Vietnam - Russia friendship.
