Most expected TV series projects in 2021

According to a report on December 17 by IndieWire, WarnerMedia revealed information about its upcoming TV series. HBO Max also appeared on the list with new projects developed from its famous television series such as Gossip Girl or Friends Reunion Special.

Besides, projects such as a documentary about rapper Nicki Minaj; a crime thriller named No Sudden Move by Oscar-winning filmmaker, and Emmy Steven Soderbergh or Justice League by Zack Snyder are also highly expected.

WarnerMedia also introduced the upcoming original projects on its distribution network and will be shown on the online video service, HBO Max. Although the studio is expected to launch a series of films by 2021, the specific release dates for each work have yet to be announced.

The series includes limited series Mare of Easttown starring Kate Winslet as a female detective in a small Pennsylvania town; the drama The Nerves that tells the story of a group of Londoners who suddenly developed extraordinary abilities in Victorian England; a two-part documentary named Tiger about golfer Tiger Wood.

In addition, some series that won resounding victories at Emmy Awards will also continue, including Euphoria, Insecure, and Succession.

The company also "teased" the public with House of the Dragon, a highly awaited prequel to Game of Thrones. The series is expected to bring together familiar stars on the screen such as Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Matt Smith, and Emma D’Arcy.

In December, HBO said the main filming process for House of the Dragon would "begin in a few months." In January, Casey Bloys, HBO senior leader, revealed in an interview that the series could air in 2022.

HBO announced that a Game of Thrones prequel spinoff, centered on the Targaryens who lived generations before Daenerys fought for the Iron Throne, back in 2019, but there were only estimates of when it might hit the airwaves to deliver some dragon action. Called House of the Dragon, the show has added some stars in recent weeks without confirming when the show would be ready to launch. Well, thanks to an HBO Max clip hyping the biggest and best on the way to HBO (seen above), we have our first clip and a confirmed date.
