NA Chairman Greets Vietnamese Community in India
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue on December 15, 2021 visited the Vietnamese Embassy in New Delhi and met the Vietnamese community in India, according to VNA in New Dehli.

In a joyful and loving atmosphere, the President of the National Assembly expressed his pleasure and emotion to meet representatives of the Vietnamese community and officials of the Vietnamese Embassy in India. On behalf of The Party and States leaders, NA Chairman sent his warmest regards from homeland to the Vietnamese community in India.
Discussing with officials and employees of the Vietnamese Embassy in India and the Vietnamese community in India, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue shared outstanding results during his official visit to Korea before his official visit to India. India is an emerging great nation, an important voice in the region and the world.
The senior legislator noted that the Vietnam-India comprehensive strategic cooperation continues to expand strongly across all pillars, reaching great efficiency and reliability despite the covid-19 pandemic outbreak. The two countries celebrate the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2021 and are preparing activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2022 (January 7, 1972 - January 7, 2022).
He stated that the purpose of his present visit is to contribute to the efforts of the countries' Parties, States, and peoples to enhance the collaboration.

The National Assembly Chairman said the visit of the Vietnamese delegation this time aims to contribute together with the efforts of the Party, State and people of the two countries to bring the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and India into a more substantive and deeper meaning, especially in the pillar fields of the good relationship between the two countries such as defense, diplomacy, trade, investment, education, tourism, science and technology and people-to-people diplomacy.
NA Chairman will discuss with Indian leaders on directions to promote cooperation between the two countries, the two parliaments. He also emphasized that overseas Vietnamese are an important component of and resource for Vietnam.
At the meeting, the President of the National Assembly shared the difficulties and highly appreciated the efforts and efforts of the Embassy staff and staff as well as the Vietnamese community in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic, especially during the time India was facing a lot of difficulties and losses due to the impact of the pandemic.
Regarding the work for the overseas Vietnamese community, NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue affirmed in the spirit of Resolution 36 policy on great national unity of the Party and State and Directive 45 of the Politburo on overseas Vietnamese; Conclusion No. 12-KL/TW on this work in the new situation always pays attention to the overseas Vietnamese community in general and the Vietnamese community in India in particular.
Sharing new and remarkable points about Conclusion 12, the National Assembly Chairman said that on August 12, 2021, the Politburo issued Conclusion 12-KL/TW on the work of overseas Vietnamese in Vietnam. The new situation confirms the position and role of the overseas Vietnamese community. The Politburo requested that the implementation of tasks and solutions in the new situation must show the affection and responsibility of the Party and State in taking care of the overseas Vietnamese community, and at the same time continuing to support the Vietnamese community to encourage and create conditions for compatriots to return to their homeland.
Conclusion 12 affirms the continued raising of awareness and sense of responsibility in the implementation of the policy of great national solidarity towards overseas Vietnamese; implement overall measures to care for and support overseas Vietnamese; improve the effectiveness of citizen protection, labor management, international students...; focus on innovating and improving the efficiency and methods of teaching and learning Vietnamese.
In the coming time, the National Assembly and the Government will direct relevant agencies to perfect the legal system, reform administrative procedures, create a unified and synchronous legal basis for the implementation and supervision of law on overseas Vietnamese.
The Government has also assigned the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to develop the Government's action plan on overseas Vietnamese work in the 2021-2026 period. The National Assembly Standing Committee assigned the Committee on Foreign Affairs to coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to review policies and laws for overseas Vietnamese to institutionalize the Party's guidelines and policies into legal policies; implement comprehensive measures to support overseas Vietnamese, especially in disadvantaged areas. To ensure that overseas Vietnamese can stabilize their legal status and lives, develop the economy, comply with the law and integrate the host country; encourage and create conditions for overseas Vietnamese to make active contributions to the cause of national construction and defense.

Hue added that, given the problematic developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Vietnamese Party and State have swiftly implemented support measures, including the arranging of nearly 200 aircraft to transport more than 53,000 Vietnamese residents from more than 50 countries and territories home. He affirmed that overseas Vietnamese are an integral part and a resource of the Vietnamese ethnic community. The State encourages and creates conditions for people to visit their homeland, invest in business, and at the same time take measures to support the community to stabilize the law, preserve and promote the national cultural identity in the locality.
On this occasion, the National Assembly Chairman highly appreciated the Vietnamese community in India. He expressed his delight at the development of the Vietnamese community in India. The second and third generations of Vietnamese people in India still preserve their culture and language and always look to their homeland.
On behalf of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Chairman highly appreciated and praised the achievements that Ambassador Pham Sanh Chau and all officers and employees of the Embassy have achieved over the years despite difficulties and challenges, contributing to constantly strengthening and consolidating the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and India, building high-level strategic trust between the leaders of the two countries; enhance mutual understanding and support between the Governments and peoples of the two countries.
The National Assembly Chairman expressed his hope that in the coming time, the embassy's collective would continue to make further efforts to strengthen the two countries' relations, contributing to the successful implementation of foreign policies with India. And, he affirmed that the Party, State and National Assembly always pay attention, support and create favorable conditions for Vietnam's representative missions abroad to operate smoothly to contribute to serving the public, national defense, construction and development.
