Overseas Vietnamese Contribute To The Development Of Ha Tinh Province
According to Thai Phuc Son, Director of Ha Tinh Department of Foreign Affairs, Ha Tinh has about 85,000 people studying, working, and living abroad, including intellectuals, experts, and entrepreneurs from various fields. They are Professor - Academician Nguyen Huy My who contributed to 3 Ha Tinh heritage sites recognized by UNESCO, and Professor Nguyen Huy Hoang with 20 scientific research projects and works contributing to bringing Vietnamese culture to the world.
In Ha Tinh province, there are 9 overseas Vietnamese businesses with investment projects that help to bring jobs, increase income, and create confidence for overseas Vietnamese. In countries with Ha Tinh hometown associations, they are very close and support each other in work and life.

Phuc Son also affirmed the Department of Foreign Affairs of Ha Tinh province has advised the provincial leaders to deploy solutions to promote the resources of the Vietnamese community living abroad.
During business trips, leaders of Ha Tinh have met overseas Vietnamese to listen to their thoughts and convey local sentiments and developments, creating trust with the community.
The Department of Foreign Affairs has built a database of overseas Vietnamese with information on the most special individuals and updated Ha Tinh's policy for interaction with the community. Thereby, many businessmen and overseas Vietnamese aim to build their homeland.
The department also focuses on researching and completing the policy, and incentive mechanisms to attract the Vietnamese community abroad, intellectuals, and businessmen to Vietnam. The province will strengthen coordination between Vietnamese and local authorities to support the overseas community to have a solid, stable legal status, and integrate into the country.
The State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese will continue to support localities, connecting with the community abroad, and creating opportunities to meet overseas Vietnamese.
In addition, the committee will open professional training courses on working with Vietnamese people living abroad for local specialized officials. They will continue to promote the implementation of the project "Day of Honoring Vietnamese in the Vietnamese community abroad in the period 2023 - 2030", and transmit the traditional cultural identity of Vietnam to the future generations.
