Dinh Xuan Anh Tuan - an overseas Vietnamese in France, is a doctor, university professor. He manages the department of Physiology - Practical examinations at Cochin hospital in Paris. He always looks to his homeland and wants to contribute to Vietnam's healthcare system.

His room at Cochin hospital is not like a doctor's office. It's warm, cozy, and tidy, with wall paintings and decorations in Vietnamese style.

As a coordinator of the French-Vietnamese Association of Pulmonology (AFVP), he mobilized colleagues in France to teach medical students and exchange expertise with colleagues in Vietnam. He donated much medical equipment to hospitals, participated in editing and publishing specialized manuals for Vietnamese doctors to refer to. He also guided many Vietnamese colleagues to France for internships.

He said the time of the Covid-19 was the most stressful in his life as a doctor. As the number of patients increased, he became busier. Working from early morning until late at night made him and his colleagues exhausted. However, when seeing the patient, they continued to try to save them.

When the pandemic situation in France got better, it was also the time when the Covid-19 wave in Vietnam became more complicated. Dinh Xuan Anh Tuan attended online professional exchanges, supported and encouraged colleagues in the country in the most difficult time.

He has provided daily information and knowledge about Covid-19, short training courses, and professional guidance sessions. He is also willing to share with people the copyright of the ventilator invented by him and a foreign professor.

In the new year, he hopes that the pandemic will soon pass, life will return to normal so that he has the opportunity to return to his homeland, contributing to public health training. He wants to strengthen the relationship that the French-Vietnamese Association of Pulmonology has fostered and developed since 1992, and cement the friendship between the two peoples of France and Vietnam.
