On January 27, Plan International Vietnam handed-over seven projectors and one industrial air compressor to Hanoi Industry Vocation College (HNIVC).
The equipment sponsored by Hyundai Motors through Plan Vietnam to support students of Automobile Technology Department in their training.
This is to follow up the project “Vocational training for disadvantage youth in Hanoi” from 2015 - 2018, a project funded by the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), Hyundai Motor Company and Hyundai E&C to HNIVC. Thanks to support from the project, hundreds of students had enough equipment to study automobile technology – a trending major, especially in the context of COVID-19 when students who graduated from universities face huge difficulties in looking for jobs.
Currently, Plan Vietnam and HNIVC continue the partnership in another project funded by Google to support 4,800 youth who are vulnerable or under the negative impacts of COVID-19 so that they can have a chance to pursue vocational training.
The project also organizes activities to connect the students and businesses in the field which is a way to help the students find a suitable job after graduation.
