President Joko Widodo opened the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX)’s first 2015 trading activity on January 2nd.

On the same day, he visited Tanah Abang, a famous traditional market located in capital Jakarta, addressing the need to maintain markets like this in the country due to its multifunction in terms of business, culture and tourism.
According to ASEAN’s statistics, Indonesia was the biggest economy in Southeast Asia as by early 2014 with its GDP hitting USD863 billion, flowed by Thailand (USD388 billion), and Malaysia (USD312 billion)./.
