K. Raja Sekhar, General Secretary of ISCUF of Andhra Pradesh, said: The friendship between Vietnam and India began more than 2,000 years ago through religious and cultural exchanges. Both countries endured a struggle against imperialism and colonialism to safeguard their national independence. Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh were united in their vision for independence and sovereignty. Presently, India and Vietnam boast dynamic economies.
“The Vietnam-India relationship is a model for international partnership, characterized by mutual respect, common interests and a common vision for peace and stability in the region and the world,” said K. Raja Sekhar.
The General Secretary of ISCUF in Andhra Pradesh stated that ISCUF maintains a strong bond with Vietnam. Throughout Vietnam's fight for independence, ISCUF offered both spiritual and material assistance, held seminars, staged demonstrations, and raised slogans in support of Vietnam. ISCUF frequently cooperates with the Vietnamese Ambassador to India and conducts events to commemorate Vietnam's National Day on September 2 and President Ho Chi Minh's birthday on May 19 annually.
