Provinces and cities provide financial aid for Covid-19 hotspot Hai Duong
Hanoi supports Hai Duong VND2 billion (US$ 86,827) and 50,000 medical masks
Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hue expressed his hope that Hai Duong province will soon control the pandemic and restore the socio-economic situation. Hanoi City provided VND2 billion (US$ 86,827) and 50,000 medical masks in support of Hai Duong in the fight against the novel coronavirus.
Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hue, on behalf of the city, sent a letter to encourage the Party Committee, authorities and people of Hai Duong province in the Covid-19 battle, according to Zing News.
In the letter, Hanoi leader emphasized that the Covid-19 situation has developed complicatedly, exerting adverse impacts on many localities, especially Hai Duong province. The Hanoi Municipal Party Committee has directed the city Department of Industry and Trade to connect supply and demand and create optimal conditions for the consumption of goods, especially agricultural products of Hai Duong in the city.

"Hanoi is willing to supply medical equipment and human resources so that Hai Duong can strengthen its testing capacity for SARS-CoV-2 and other requirements in epidemic prevention and control", Hue said in the letter.
Hanoi believes that under the guidance of the Party and State, the contributions of localities, Hai Duong province will soon control the epidemic and restore the socio-economic situation.
On behalf of the city, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Hanoi Committee Nguyen Lan Huong visited as well as presented VND2 billion (US$ 86,827) and 50,000 medical masks to Hai Duong province.
Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Hai Duong Committee thanked Hanoi for its aid, adding that this donation will contribute to helping the locality soon surmount the challenges caused by the epidemic.
Hai Phong supports Hai Duong 5 billion VND (US$ 220,000) and 500,000 medical masks
On the afternoon of February 19, the Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Le Khac Nam handed over 5 billion VND (US$ 220,000) and 500,000 medical masks to Hai Duong province to assist the latter in the COVID-19 prevention and control.

Hai Phong Vice Chairman said that Hai Duong and Hai Phong are neighboring provinces, having a close-knit relationship; so, it always sides by side to share with difficulties caused by the epidemic that Hai Duong has experienced.
On behalf of the leaders and people of Hai Duong, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee Trieu The Hung expressed his thanks to the Party Committee and the people of Hai Phong. He stressed that the province will make all-out efforts to soon stamp out the pandemic.

Bac Ninh aids Hai Duong VND 1 billion (US$ 45,000) and helps to consume agricultural products
On February 19, Bac Ninh province gifted Hai Duong VND 1 billion (US$ 45,000) with the hope that the locality will soon stem the epidemic.
Besides, Bac Ninh helps Hai Duong in agricultural product consumption. Standing Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan directed the Department of Industry and Trade, the Management Board of industrial zones, the Food Safety Management Board and a number of markets in the locality to support agricultural product consumption for Hai Duong farmers.
Hai Duong so far has reported 590 Covid-19 cases since the latest outbreak. From January 28 to February 19, Vietnam has recorded 770 community transmissions in 13 localities. Hai Duong is followed by Quang Ninh with 60 and Ho Chi Minh City with 36 cases. The national tally has gone up to 2,362 with 1,627 recoveries and 35 deaths. Twenty-two recoveries were announced Friday. All the active cases are in stable health, with 163 have tested negative at least once for the novel coronavirus. More than 140,000 people are quarantined in centralized centers, hospitals, at home and other designated accommodations. |
