Strengthening the Overseas Vietnamese Community in Czech

Overcoming the difficulties of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic, including the Vietnamese in Ústecký, has always united and contributed to the Czech government and people in the Covid-19's fight.
Many practical volunteer activities, which are appreciated by the Czech government and people, such as: sewing masks; providing free meals and coffee for the Czech pandemic prevention force; financial donations to support Czech medical facilities, for Czech and Vietnamese people facing difficulties due to the pandemic.
The above actions contribute to demonstrating the cohesion and responsibility of Vietnamese people towards their second homeland in the Czech Republic. They contribute to enhancing the image of the Vietnamese community and strengthening the friendship between Vietnam and the Czech Republic.
The Ambassador appreciated the responsibility and spirit of solidarity to overcome difficulties of the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic. Despite being heavily affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, they always join hands, support the government and people in the country to fight the pandemic.
The Ambassador also expressed his sincere thanks to the Czech Government and people, the Governor, agencies in Ústecký province. They have created favorable conditions, helping the Vietnamese community in Ústecký province in living, doing business and integrating locally, especially in the prevention, vaccination and treatment of Covid-19.

Speaking at the event, Governor of Ústecký province, Jan Schiller and Chair of the National Minorities Committee Karolina Zakovska expressed their love for the country and people of Vietnam. They are impressed with the Vietnamese community in Ústecký province through useful activities organized by the community.
The Vietnamese Association in the province has donated up to CZK800,000 (US$33,704) to support the provincial hospital to buy ventilators to treat Covid-19 patients. The above action clearly shows the responsibility and cohesion of the Vietnamese community with the Czech country and society.
The province is committed to accompanying and supporting the Vietnamese community in the province to integrate deeply into life in Czech.
In recognition of the practical contributions of the Vietnamese community in Ústecký, the Governor of Ústecký province awarded Certificates of Merit to express gratitude to 12 Vietnamese branches in the province. He also awarded the Certificate of Honor - the highest award of Ustecky province to the Executive Board of the Vietnamese Association in the province.

On International Women's Day 8/3, Ambassador Thai Xuan Dung and representatives of the Vietnamese association in the Czech Republic and the Vietnamese in Ústecký province presented flowers to congratulate the women participating in the event.
