Kendra Rinas, Chief of Mission for the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Vietnam, highlighted the country’s exemplary nationwide plan for implementing the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly, and Regular Migration (GCM). She also reaffirmed IOM’s commitment to supporting Vietnam’s efforts to enhance migration governance.

In the last few years, Vietnam has been very active on promoting safe migration as well as making serious efforts against human trafficking.

Vietnam and the IOM also hold great potential to boost cooperation at international mechanisms.

Mihyung Park, chief of mission at the International Organisation for Migration Vietnam, said the country had contributed to the building and ratification of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration.
