In Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), the Vietnamese Tet Festival 2025, an annual event organized by the Malaysia - Vietnam Friendship Association (MVFA) in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia, recreated a Tet space imbued with national identity. The festival was bustling with lion dances, vibrant performances, and folk games such as throwing con, sack jumping, and tug of war. It attracted thousands of overseas Vietnamese, locals, and international tourists.

The highlight of the festival is the three-region culinary area with more than 20 booths introducing the culinary quintessence of the North-Central-South, along with cultural activities such as wrapping banh chung, writing calligraphy, and drawing Dong Ho paintings. This is an opportunity for the young overseas Vietnamese generation to understand more about national traditions.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Israel organized an activity of wrapping banh chung according to Jewish Kosher standards. Banh Chung with chicken filling instead of pork to suit local customs has attracted the attention and love of Israeli friends.

In the capital, Algiers (Algeria), the Homeland Spring 2025 program organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in Algeria brought the Tet atmosphere to overseas Vietnamese and local friends. Traditional dishes such as pho, fried spring rolls, and beef stew warm the hearts of the overseas Vietnamese and are also highly praised by international diners.

Maintaining traditional culture, the Vietnamese community in Laos still keeps the custom of visiting graves on the occasion of Tet. Vietnamese families often visit their ancestors' tombs and clean gravesites whenever the Lunar New Year (Tet) comes, normally from the 23rd of the last month of a lunar year to New Year's Eve.

From France, Italy, Russia, and Thailand, to Myanmar..., community Tet events are filled with peach and apricot blossoms, traditional dishes, and meaningful activities. In Paris, France, the 2025 Spring Market was held for the first time at the Vietnam Cultural Center with the participation of businesses and associations, creating a bustling atmosphere imbued with the homeland. The market offers many traditional Vietnamese dishes such as banh chung, banh tet, pickled onions, fruits, and candies, in addition to Tet decorations such as kumquat trees, peach blossoms, and apricot blossoms.

In Russia, Vietnamese students from faraway cities gathered in Ekaterinburg to celebrate the traditional Tet holiday organized by the Vietnamese Consulate General in Ekaterinburg, enjoying delicious Tet dishes and singing Tet songs together.

No matter where they are, overseas Vietnamese still preserve the customs and lifestyle of their homeland's Tet, spreading the beauty of Vietnamese culture and connecting the community.
