The 2019-2020 school year will end before July 15 |
The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued a letter of amendment and supplement to promulgate the school year schedule, applied to the school year 2019-2020, after all schools kept closures due to COVID-19 epidemic.
The Decision was signed by Deputy Minister Nguyen Huu Do and was issued to replace Decision No. 514/QD-BGDDT on February 22.
Accordingly, since the teaching and learning plan are affected by the epidemic, many timelines of the school year 2019-2020 will be adapted for the actual situation.
Specifically, the first semester ends before January 20, the second semester is completed before July 11. The finished time of the school year is set before July 15.
The schools recognized the elementary program and junior high school graduation before July 31st. Enrollment in grade 10 is completed before August 15. The Ministry of Education and Training requires educational institutions to report the school year preparation and open the classes before September 10. The preliminary organization of the first semester is completed before January 30. School year sum up, report of performance results and reward proposition are finalized before August 15. |
Earlier, responding on VnExpress, Deputy Minister Nguyen Huu Do said that the 2019-2020 school year may finish late if students have to take a long break due to COVID-19.
