Tourism attractions and services start to be reopened around Vietnam

Some localities have resumed tourism services after the Government eased containment measures thanks to positive outcomes of the COVID-19 fight. Many famous attractions around Vietnam has been announced to open again for tourists.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has announced plans to quickly restart the tourism market as soon as the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic ends.

Accordingly, when Vietnam announces the pandemic ending in the country, the ministry will focus on stimulating the domestic tourism market and coordinating with airlines, transport and travel firms to exempt or reduce service fees, including air tickets, accommodation costs and visiting fees.

The ministry will also implement the "Safe Vietnam Tourism" programme and a domestic tourism stimulus programme with the cooperation of localities, transport and travel companies - VNS reports.

In Cao Bang Province, special national relic sites have been reopened since April 24.

Cao Bang People's Committee allows reopening all tourist attractions in the province to welcome tourists. The remained service businesses and their related activities operated normally including food provision service must be taken measures for prevention. Service staffs are requested to keep a reasonable distance when serving customers on the spots. Other service businesses of karaoke, bars, discos, sidewalk eateries serving on the spot continue to be suspended until a new directive announced.

Open time in the spots is set normally from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM every day. Tourists have to follow precautions including temperature check, sanitization, face mask wearing, and safe distancing.

In Kien giang province, since April 25, travel agents and tourism sites were allowed to resume operation for domestic guests and foreigners residing in Viet Nam.

The Kien Giang Tourism Department requested that tourism service providers seriously adhere to coronavirus preventive measures.

Travelers are requested to observe tourism health care declaration, wear face masks, wash hands, keep safe distance, and avoid mass gatherings.

Entertainment and tourist sites must conduct disinfection daily.

In Thanh Hoa province, the People’s Committee permitted tourism sites to open for local visitors since April 25. However, regulations on safe distance and precautions are still in place.

Thanh Hoa completely stopped receiving tourists (from March 13, 2020) when the epidemic broke out, and imposed a limitation of only receiving intra-provincial visitors (from April 25) and no more than 10 people / group of tourists. The province looked careful in every step to gradually restore tourism activities for its " together with the disease live and develop safely" targets set in 2020.

In Lam Dong, tourism sites and night markets reopened from April 23.

The southern province of Binh Thuan has re-started tourism activities from April 27

Only 2 days after the People's Committee of Lam Dong Province' allowing for reopening (from April 23), do tourists rush to visit Da Lat's attractions again. Especially, on Saturday and Sunday, Da Lat reveived a big amount of visitors from Hochiminh city and other places. The city of flowers becomes busy again after one month kept in quiet.

Sapa in Lao Cai province

The People's Committee of Lao Cai province has issued a document permitting to reopen tourist destinations and attractions, but under control and assurance of prevention rules for Covid- 19.
