The first 6 months of the year is also the time to implement Decree No. 100/2019 on sanctioning administrative violations in the field of road and rail transport and Decree No. 10/2020 on business and transport business conditions, so traffic safety has positive changes, traffic accidents reduce in all 3 criteria on the number of cases, the number of deaths and the injured.

However, Deputy Prime Minister said that traffic safety is still complicated, there are many particularly serious accidents that kill many people and cause concern for the people, which we can not rest assured. For example, the traffic accidents in Dak Lak on June 13 and Quang Ninh on June 17. In addition, carrying violations still occur in many places, traffic congestion in big cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City have not been solved and tend to increase. Facing that situation, the Deputy Prime Minister requested to assess the true situation, existence, limitations and causes, thereby proposing practical and feasible solutions to continue reducing traffic accidents in the coming time.
