This year’s scholarship program includes two main categories: the Merit Development Program (MDP) and the VietHope Student Development Program (VSDP). These practical initiatives aim to ease financial burdens while motivating students to excel in their studies and research.

For the 2024-2025 academic year, the program plans to award 157 scholarships with a total value of 760 million VND. Recipients include students from Phan Dang Luu High School, Quoc Hoc Hue Specialized High School, Nguyen Chi Thanh High School, and students from Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University of Science, and Hue University of Economics.
Speaking at the ceremony, Huynh Tien Dat - Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Union of Friendship Organizations, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to VietHope and its supporters. He noted that the scholarships not only assist students in overcoming financial challenges but also inspire them to pursue their dreams, contributing to the development of a high-quality workforce for the locality.
VietHope is a nonprofit educational organization founded in 2002 by Vietnamese-American students at Harvard University (USA). From 2002 to 2023, VietHope has provided over US$1.12 million in scholarships, benefiting 5,932 students. The organization also develops skill-building programs for underprivileged Vietnamese students who strive to improve their lives through education.
