In his opening remarks, Ambassador Vladimir Borovikov rejoiced with the development of the traditional relationship between the two countries over the years. By 2023, Vietnam and Belarus have made significant progress in economic and trade cooperation, inter-parliamentary dialogue and interaction between law enforcement agencies. This year, thanks to the cooperation with Vietnamese partners, the Embassy successfully organized the Belarusian Culture Day in May and the Belarusian Education Day in June.

The year 2022 marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Belarus (January 24, 1992-2022), showing the long history of bilateral cooperation and friendship. Ambassador Vladimir Borovikov reaffirmed that Belarus hopes to continue to strengthen the friendly and mutually beneficial relationship with two peoples.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnam's Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang said that Vietnam attaches great importance to the friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Belarus. It was President Ho Chi Minh's visit to Belarus in 1957 that laid the foundation for the cooperative relationship between the two countries. Since then, Vietnam always appreciates Belarus's warm affection and support in the past struggle to defend the Fatherland and to develope the country.

She also thanked the Government and people of Belarus for supporting the Government and people of Vietnam for donating medical equipment for the prevention of COVID-19. She rejoiced many events Vietnam and Belarus co-organized to strengthen cooperation such as the 15th meeting of the Vietnam - Belarus Intergovernmental Committee on economic, trade and scientific cooperation. - technical, Belarusian Culture Day, and the signing of a cooperation agreement in the field of education.

The Vietnamese diplomat believes that in the coming time, Belarus and Vietnam will continue to promote the good cooperation for the benefit of the two peoples as well as for global peace and prosperity.
