(VNF) - To strengthen the friendship between Viet Nam and Japan, from 29th – 31st July 2016, in Da Nang Administration Center Park, Da Nang Foreign Affairs Department coordinates with Da Nang Representative Office in Japan to organize Viet Nam - Japan cultural exchange festival 2016.

The Vietnam - Japan Cultural Exchange Festival 2016 has a lot of interesting activities, exciting performances and funny games in during 3 days of the festival to introduce the culture of Japan to Danang people and foreigners.

More than 62 delegations from Japan take part in event this year. About 75 stands at the Festival introduce the distinctive culture and culinary arts of the two countries. (Festival 2015 has 60 stands)

As per the schedule, traditional art troupe Suzume, dancing group Yosakoi from Sakai City, dancing teams Run to the World and Debeso, singer Shiho Rainbow and a kite art team from Mitsuke, besides rocker Fujii Youichirou, saxophone player Tajima Yoshikazu and rock band B D Badge will perform during the three-day cultural exchange.

Japanese style cuisine at previous festival

The cultural, cuisine booths introduces Japanese cuisine, culture and fine arts to visitors with Kirigami (paper cutting art), Origami (paper folding art). In addition, visitors will have a chance to wear yukata, cosplay costumes, play other traditional games and taste delicious dishes as Udon, Chanpon, Ramen, fresh fish, Kasutera, especially sea foods from Kushiro city of Hokaido province.

Besides, a lot of exciting art and cultural programs will take place such as Akido and Kendo, Japanese tea art and calligraphic performance programs, musical concert…

This was the third time this festival has been held in Da Nang. It has become an annual foreign affairs cultural event of the city with an aim to connect and intensify the friendly and cooperative relations between Da Nang and Japan, as well as contribute to promoting the Vietnam – Japan comprehensive strategic partnership./.
